Care of your sterling silver jewellery
Shiny high polished silver – if tarnished, use a non abrasive silver polish cloth on the shiny silver only.
Satin finished silver – do not use silver cloth !!! Use a standard clean, soft, white pencil eraser ... rub gently on the satin finished.
Gemstones – soak the head of a toothbrush in mild soapy water, brush the stones gently, rinse with clean water and dry with soft lint free cloth.
Freshwater and cultured pearls – wipe with soft damp or dry cloth after wearing.
Remember
· Avoid using a commercial liquid silver dip, toothpaste or an ultrasonic cleaner.
· Avoid exposure of your jewellery to items such as perfume, hairspray, detergents, cleaning fluids, hand cream, soaps, perspiration, make up, spicy foods, heat sources, chlorine, etc.
· Individually wrap your jewellery in a clean soft cloth and store in a dry box to avoid scratching and reduce tarnishing
The golden rule
Your new jewellery is the last thing you put on before walking out the door ... and the first thing you take off when returning home
